The Peshawar High Court has issued a strict order prohibiting the use of any government vehicle, machinery, or staff in protests, marches, or political rallies.

The court ruled that using state resources without authorization amounts to corruption and an abuse of power. It stated clearly that the government must remain completely neutral in all political activities.

The court instructed that no government official should be deployed for any political purpose and declared that the political use of government machinery is a violation of fundamental rights.

Expressing serious concern over the involvement of government employees in political matters, the court said that using public resources for political events is unacceptable.

A complete ban has been imposed on the use of government vehicles in protests and rallies. The court emphasized that misuse of state resources falls under abuse of authority and ordered the government to ensure that all public resources are used only for legal and appropriate purposes.

The court also barred government staff from participating in political marches and rallies and took strong notice of the political misuse of official machinery.

Following the court’s decision, the use of government resources for political activities has been effectively stopped.
