In a major crackdown on heavy vehicle violations, Karachi traffic authorities have issued the Biggest e-challan in the city’s history.

According to police, the owner of a dumper truck has been fined Rs100,000 for operating the vehicle without a tracker and without a valid fitness certificate.

The action follows an early-morning accident near Razzaqabad, where an over speeding dumper caused a collision. During inspection of the vehicle’s documents and technical requirements, officials discovered that it lacked both a tracker system and a fitness certificate.

The accident occurred near Port Qasim Chowrangi, and legal proceedings have been initiated against both the vehicle owner and the driver. Officials confirmed that the owner, Sher Zada, has not only been issued a Rs100,000 e-challan but also been nominated in the FIR.

Additionally, the dumper driver’s license has been temporarily suspended for three months.

Traffic police noted that if the fine is paid within 14 days, the owner will be eligible for a 50% discount as per regulations.

Authorities added that accidents involving heavy vehicles in Karachi have been rising at an alarming rate, and strict action will continue against vehicles operating without mandatory trackers, fitness certificates, and other required documentation.
