KARACHI: Anoushay Abbasi, who married Enan Arif Abbasi son of former cricketer late Taslim Arif Abbasi in 2014, revealed in a recent interview that the couple parted ways in 2019.
“I have been single for the past six years,” the actress disclosed. “I got divorced from my husband in 2019, but I have never spoken publicly about it until now.”
This is the first time Anoushay has addressed her divorce, marking the end of speculation surrounding her personal life. Fans and colleagues have expressed support for the actress as she continues to focus on her career in the entertainment industry.
Anoushay, who married Enaan in 2014, shared the news during a recent interview, revealing that the marriage ended in 2019. This marks the first time the actress has publicly addressed her separation.
“I’ve been single for the past six years. I got divorced in 2019, but I never spoke about it until now,” she said.
She went on to explain her reasons for staying silent. At the time of her separation, her mother was critically ill, and Anoushay chose to keep the news private to protect her from unnecessary stress. “I didn’t want people asking her questions about my personal life, especially when she was already going through so much,” she explained. “Keeping it private helped ease that pressure on her. Alhamdulillah, I’m in a good place now.”
Anoushay also reflected on the personal losses her family has endured. “My mother passed away in 2022, and it was a very difficult period for us. My father had died in 2012, and since then, my siblings and I have relied on each other for strength,” she added.
The actress, known for her versatile roles and strong screen presence, continues to focus on her career and personal well-being, with the support of her close-knit family.
