Learn about the rights of electronic fraud victims

One of the readers of the “Gulf” asked about the rights of victims of electronic fraud crimes, and whether they are entitled to demand a financial compensation in addition to the criminal punishment issued against the perpetrator. The lawyer and legal advisor, Adnan Obaid Al -Shaali, answered, and said that the victim of electronic fraud has the right to demand civil compensation for the damage to him, whether material or literary, based on the general rules in the civil law. He explained that the law permits the affected by the behavior of one of two paths, either the temporary civil prosecution before the criminal court that is considering the criminal case, or filed an independent civil lawsuit before the Civil Court after the issuance of a final criminal ruling on condemnation
