Prince William and Kate Middleton top royal popularity poll

A new poll taken by YouGov reveals the Prince and Princess of Wales are the most popular members of The Royal Family among the British public.

The pollsters surveyed 2,222 British adults from May 6-7, 2025 and revealed the interesting results today.

Prince William came in first and Princess Catherine was in second place.

Prince William and Kate Middleton topped the list of royals, with 75% of Britons having a positive opinion of the Prince of Wales and 72% likewise for his wife.

William, the first in line to the British throne, will become the king after his father, the incumbent monarch King Charles.

King Charles III, 61% of Britons have a positive view of King Charles, compared to 29% with an unfavourable view.

Figures show the monarch witnessed a five point drop since February.

According to the YouGov, “the generations are again divided on the King, with only 43% of 18-24 year olds having a positive opinion of Charles III, but rising to fully 77% of the over-65s.”
