Justin Baldoni’s legal team came up with a bombshell claim in a new court filing, alleging that Blake Lively threatened her pop star best friend, Taylor Swift, to publicly speak in favor of her, amid the legal battle with Baldoni.
However, Lively’s Lawyer responded by calling the accusation “categorically false.”
Baldoni’s attorney, Bryan Freedman, reportedly filed a letter to court claiming that Lively‘s team “demanded that Ms. Swift release a statement of support for Ms. Lively, intimating that, if Ms. Swift refused to do so, private text messages of a personal nature” would be leaked, as per The Hollywood Reporter.
Moreover, Freedman, who claims to have received the tip from a “source who is highly likely to have reliable information,” suggested that Lively allegedly asked Swift to delete text messages.
Swift’s team responded to the threats, which they believed were wrong and possibly blackmail. This response was written down somewhere, and now Freedman wants to see that message as potential evidence of “an attempt to intimidate and coerce a percipient witness in this litigation.”
Lively attorney responded to the claims in a statement via People, reading, “This is categorically false. We unequivocally deny all of these so-called allegations, which are cowardly sourced to supposed anonymous sources, and completely untethered from reality.”
