Emma Heming Willis is looking back at her Met Gala date night with her husband Bruce Willis back in 2009.
The British actress and model, 46, took to Instagram Stories on the day this year’s biggest fashion night kicked off in New York with a throwback moment from her own 2009 appearance.
The carousel repost showed Emma posing next to her husband Bruce, who she had married that very year.
Emma dressed in a plunging V-neck black dress for the year’s theme “The Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion,” while Bruce rocked a classic black tuxedo.
“My Met date. What a fox,” she wrote along the story.
The original carousel also carried a sweet confession from the actress.
“One of the many reason I fell hard for Bruce was because he never takes anything too seriously,” read the caption. “As you can clearly see here at our first (and last) Met Gala, as newlyweds back in 2009. He’s just up for a good time no matter where or when and I’m here for it.”
Emma met Bruce in 2007 and married him two years later. The couple share two daughters Mabel, 13, and Evelyn, 11.
Bruce also has three older daughters Rumer Willis, 36, Scout Willis, 33, and Tallulah Willis, 31, with ex-wife Demi Moore.
Bruce’s family announced his retirement from acting in 2022 following his aphasia diagnosis. They later shared that his condition had progressed into frontotemporal dementia in early 2023. The Die Hard star has stayed out of the spotlight ever since.
