ISLAMABAD: An individual accused of conducting an anti-state campaign and leaking sensitive government data on social media has been arrested by the Cybercrime Circle of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), The News reported.

During a targeted raid in Lake View Society, Bani Gala, Islamabad, the suspect, identified as Nawaz was apprehended.

According to FIA officials, Nawaz had illegally accessed the passport and immigration database, obtaining personal details of citizens and high-ranking government officials.

He is accused of sharing confidential information, including passport details and photographs of senior officials, on the social media platforms.

Authorities revealed that Nawaz used his X (formerly Twitter) account to disseminate sensitive data, allegedly intending to spread panic among the public.
