Bad Bunny can officially add Emmy winner to his growing list of titles — and he didn’t even have to show up to collect it.
The Puerto Rican superstar, whose real name is Benito Martinez, scored his first Emmy on Saturday, September 5, during night one of the 2026 Creative Arts Emmy Awards at Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater.
Bad Bunny won Outstanding Variety Special (Live) for the Apple Music Super Bowl LX Halftime Show, where he served as both performer and producer.
The 32-year-old wasn’t at the ceremony, but his star-studded halftime team made sure the performance had a very successful night.
And seven wins out of nine nominations? Not bad for 12 minutes of football-break entertainment.
Jay-Z also picked up his second win in the category as an executive producer on the show.
The halftime spectacular dominated several other categories, with choreographers Charm La’Donna and Karina Ortiz winning Outstanding Choreography for Variety or Reality Programming.
Hamish Hamilton took home Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special, while Miguel Gandelman won Outstanding Music Direction.
The show also scored Emmys for lighting design/lighting direction, sound mixing, and technical direction and camerawork.
With seven trophies already in the bag, Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl performance has officially gone from viral spectacle to Emmy-winning television.
And yes, Bad Bunny is now an Emmy winner.
