BTS sets a new benchmark for Asian and K-pop acts with a remarkable streaming milestone in 2026.
RM, Jimin, Jin, Jungkook, J Hope, Suga and V once again rewrote the record books on Spotify as the global superstars became the first and only group and Asian act in the platform’s history to have 149 songs surpass 100 million streams.
The K-pop Kings has also broken its own record for the biggest streaming year by an Asian and K-pop act, collecting 8.68 billion Spotify streams this year.
The figure edges past the group’s previous record of 8.65 billion streams, set in 2021.
The latest achievement comes during a major comeback era for the septet. After completing their mandatory military service, all seven members reunited and returned to the global stage with their massive ARIRANG World Tour.
The tour officially kicked off in April 2026 and is currently taking the boys across major cities worldwide.
According to the published tour schedule, the trek is set to continue into 2027, with the currently listed final concert scheduled for March 14, 2027, in Manila.
Spotify reported that title track of their latest album ARIRANG became the platform’s most-streamed K-pop album, while NORMAL also set a record as the most-streamed K-pop music video on Spotify in a single day.
With their music continuing to rack up billions of plays while they dominate stadiums around the world, BTS’ latest record proves that their post-military comeback is showing no signs of slowing down.
