Olivia Rodrigo has been checking off milestone after milestones with her latest album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, even after it has been a while to its release.
The 23-year-old pop superstar has remained on the charts since June 12, when it first came out, and is still reigning on number one on the Spotify Weekly Top Albums Chart.
Rodrigo’s album has retained the position for long enough to become one of the nine albums with most weeks at number one.
The position is tied between BTS’ ARIRANG and Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl, as of now.
Fans quickly flocked to social media and celebrated the news, writing, “We need to stay #1 till tour starts,” and “I think she can easily surpass 12 weeks.”
A third chimed in, “10th week locked with Daisy chain?,” and “OMFG,” exclaimed one.
While someone wrote, “if nothing drops these weeks we may surpass hmhas,” referring to Billie Eilish’s record, Hit Me Hard and Soft, which also had a stable run.
