Some things are impossible to ignore and V just proved it.
During BTS’ recent ARIRANG World Tour stop in Toronto, a fan managed to grab the K-pop sensation’s attention by shouting a familiar phrase: “Niagara Popo.”
The two words were enough to make the BTS star turn toward the crowd and walk straight over to the fan at the barrier.
He did not just stop for a quick interaction but grabbed the fan’s vlogging camera and filmed a video with her, turning an already memorable concert moment into something that longtime ARMY is going to cherish forever.
For the unversed, the phrase “Niagara Popo” is a longtime BTS fandom meme connected to V, whose real name is Kim Tae-hyung.
It is his playful reference to Niagara Falls during a past BTS visit. The unexpected callback immediately caught his attention when the fan shouted it during the Toronto show.
Sometimes, knowing your BTS lore really does pay off, and the fan, who is described as a YouTube reactor, is a living example.
Moreover, BTS’ two-night stint at Rogers Stadium in Toronto wrapped up on Sunday, August 23.
The next stop on the BTS World Tour Arirang is Chicago, Illinois.
They boys are scheduled to perform two consecutive nights at Soldier Field on August 27 and August 28.
