KINGSTON: Eight-time Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt celebrated his 40th birthday by proposing to his longtime girlfriend, Kasi Bennett, during a gathering with family and friends in Kingston, according to international media reports.
Bolt reportedly got down on one knee and proposed to Bennett during the birthday celebration. Photos from the occasion have since surfaced on social media, showing an emotional Bennett before she embraced Bolt.
Reports said Bolt presented Bennett with a five-carat pear-shaped diamond engagement ring.
Bolt and Bennett began dating in 2013 but kept their relationship largely private for several years. They publicly confirmed their relationship during the 2016 Rio Olympics.
The couple have three children: 6-year-old daughter Olympia Lightning Bolt and 5-year-old twin sons Thunder Bolt and Saint Leo Bolt.
