Field marshal calls for peace, investment and youth empowerment to unlock the province’s economic potential.
Pakistan’s military leadership has placed peace and economic opportunity at the center of Balochistan’s future, with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir urging political and community leaders to help turn the province’s vast human and natural resources into greater prosperity.
Munir made the remarks during a meeting with prominent Balochistan figures, political leaders and social representatives, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), as discussions focused on security, development, youth empowerment and social cohesion in the province.
The Chief of Defense Forces said Balochistan and Pakistan share the same present and future and will remain united. He described the province’s people as talented, resilient, patriotic and dignified, saying lasting peace and stability were essential to unlocking Balochistan’s economic potential.
Munir said a stable security environment was necessary to attract investment and create opportunities that could convert the province’s human and natural resources into improved livelihoods for its people.

He also emphasized the importance of young people, describing them as one of the most dynamic and promising segments of society. He called for greater efforts to empower Balochistan’s youth and provide them with meaningful opportunities to participate in national development.
According to ISPR, Munir accused “Fitna al-Khawarij” and “Fitna al-Hindustan” of being foreign proxies seeking to destabilize Balochistan. He said hostile elements were attempting to obstruct development and create divisions between the state and the public.
He said the state and the people would collectively counter such efforts and prevent hostile actors from achieving their objectives.
Munir also urged political and community leaders to strengthen social harmony, promote constructive national dialogue and confront what he described as hostile propaganda. He called for false narratives to be exposed while highlighting Balochistan’s development, potential and the aspirations of its people.
He said the future of Balochistan ultimately rests with its people and stressed the importance of their participation in building a peaceful and prosperous province.
The participants reaffirmed their commitment to peace, development and social harmony and expressed support for efforts to address security threats. They also pledged to contribute to people-centered development and promote a stable and prosperous future for Balochistan.
