Travis Barker has revealed the surprisingly simple rule keeping his marriage to Kourtney Kardashian on track—and apparently, bedtime arguments are not allowed.
The Blink-182 drummer, 50, opened up about their relationship in a People magazine interview published August 12, saying he and Kardashian make a point of never going to sleep angry.
“We try not to ever fall asleep mad at each other,” Barker shared.
“[We] try to resolve, even if it’s just like, ‘Hey, I thought you were going to meet me for lunch, and you didn’t text me back right away, so I didn’t know if we were meeting for lunch.’”
The couple, who married in 2022 and share 2-year-old son Rocky, apparently believe even tiny misunderstandings are worth clearing up before bedtime.
“Even if it’s just as simple as, like, ‘Oh babe, I take accountability. I’m sorry. I didn’t see your text right away.’ Just resolving anything so you don’t go to bed not feeling connected is really important.”
For Barker, Kardashian’s love has also played a major role in helping him face fears stemming from the 2008 plane crash he survived.
“My wife gave me so much hope to where I ended up flying again,” Baker told E! News in June. “It’s just insane.”
He added, “The power of love is amazing.”
Barker also credits his children for giving him strength, while Kardashian has praised him as an “amazing father.”
With their blended family now including seven children, it seems the couple has found one relationship rule that keeps everyone grounded: talk it out before the lights go off.
