Anna Faris has opened up about a side of motherhood that left her feeling unsure of herself.
The 49-year-old actress admitted she often felt uncomfortable around the mothers of her son Jack’s friends.
She said she sometimes worried that she was not doing enough as a parent.
Speaking to E! News, Faris said, “I didn’t always feel like I fit in with the mothers of the parents of his friends. I always felt like I was kind of messing up somehow.”
Jack, who is 13, is Faris’ son with her former husband Chris Pratt. Despite her worries, the actress now feels more confident after seeing how well Jack is growing up.
Faris, however, added that she is proud of his strong sense of justice and described him as fascinating. She also admitted that she once wondered if she was “fundamentally well suited to be a mom.”
The Scary Movie star has also found support through friendships with Leslie Mann, Isla Fisher and Michelle Buteau.
She said spending time with them helped her feel closer to other women.
Anna also credited Jack with helping her face things outside her comfort zone, adding that her love for her son has pushed her to try new things.
