Billie Eilish is currently facing criticism after she launched her new perfume, Eilish INTENSE, as social media seemed to expose her “double standards.”
The 24-year-old musician, who has always been critical about billionaires, was called out for using similar promotional tactics as those she criticises.
The launch of her sixth perfume sparked more criticism than excitement on the internet.
Sharing the ad, one X user wrote, “you seem pretty capitalist for a girl who’s always whining about anti-capitalism.”
While some defended Eilish, writing, “When has she actually ever said she’s anti capitalism lol,” and “all she said was billionaires should donate money……,” others called it hypocritical.
One wrote, “As a gen z, Billie is the loud performative Gen Z and I’m confused on how we don’t know how to identify our own ppl.”
Another added, “clocked.”
