    Sindh schools to operate six days a week from August 1

    The Sindh government announced on Thursday that all government and private schools across the province will operate six days a week from August 1, with an official notification issued.

    Under the revised schedule, upon the reopening of schools after summer vacation, classes will be held from Monday to Saturday in both public and private schools.

    “It is hereby notified that all Public & Private Educational Institutions under the Administrative Control of School Education & Literacy Department, Government of Sindh, shall observe a six-day working in the week (Monday to Saturday) with effect from August 1, 2026, till further orders,” read the notification.

    The development comes ahead of the reopening of schools after a two-month-long summer vacation, from June 1 to July 31.
