Annual urs of Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai (RA) is observed every year at his shrine in Bhit Shah.
The Sindh government on Monday announced a public holiday across the province on Wednesday, July 29, to mark the annual urs of renowned Sufi poet Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai (RA).
According to a notification issued by the Sindh Information Department, the holiday will be observed at all provincial government offices.
The holiday will also apply to autonomous and semi-autonomous bodies, corporations and local councils operating under the Sindh government.

The notification said essential services will remain open and continue operating as usual despite the public holiday.
